Be fully engaged in God

For the eyes of the LORD range throughout the earth to strengthen those whose hearts are fully committed to Him.

2 Chronicles 16:9

There is a God-shaped vacuum in every heart that only God can fill.

God is looking out for hearts who are committed to Him. He strengthens those who are fully engaged to Him. God wants to fully engage with us through Jesus Christ. That is the reason Jesus was sent to die on the cross for our sin so that we can have life in Jesus, life with God. John 3:16 - illustrated the greatest commitment of engagement.

Revelation 3:20 - to those who open their hearts to Jesus, God will come in and fellowship with them.

How to fully engage with God?

Taking the example of Abraham..

James 2:23 - And the scripture was fulfilled that says, “Abraham believed God, and it was credited to him as righteousness,”and he was called God’s friend.

Abraham believed in (adhered to, trusted in, relied on) God. He was fully engaged and committed.

#1 Accept God's call (Acts :2-4)

God calls us to follow after Him.

1 Corinthians 1:26-29 - Brothers and sisters, think of what you were when you were called. Not many of you were wise by human standards; not many were influential; not many were of noble birth. But God chose the foolish things of the world to shame the wise; God chose the weak things of the world to shame the strong. God chose the lowly things of this world and the despised things—and the things that are not—to nullify the things that are, so that no one may boast before him.

#2 Keep moving on with God (Genesis 12:4-5)

What is your barrier and stumbling block in your walk with God? Overcome it so that you can move on to God's 'promise land' for you.

#3 Maintain relationship with God by building altars (Genesis 12:7-8)

The altar is a place of communion and worship. A place where Abraham calls on the name of God. It is also a place of burnt offerings, a sign of full surrender.

#4 Embrace a pilgrim's lifestyle (Genesis 13:17-18)

A surrendered heart lead to surrendered possession. It proves the genuineness of the altar.. builds spiritual depths .

#5 Serve God's purpose & leave a godly legacy (Genesis 12:6-9)

Build altars eveywhere you go.

Sometimes we doubt ourselves, our inability, etc. But remember, we are small fries who can pray, who have the promises of a big God!

Your choice to be fully engaged can bless your future generations and change the world. Life is more than just earning a living, it is to fulfill our prophetic mission.
